Cookie Policy
A plain-language explanation of how Pusaka Horology uses cookies, and how you can manage your preferences at any time.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the site to recognise your device on return visits and to remember certain information, such as your language preference or privacy choices.
Cookies do not carry viruses or personal identification on their own. They simply help a website function more smoothly and allow us to understand how visitors engage with our content, so we can continue to improve it.
You remain in control of cookies at all times. The preferences panel below allows you to manage your choices directly, without needing to navigate your browser settings.
Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Always active — cannot be disabled
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They include session management, security tokens, and your cookie consent preference record. The website cannot operate correctly without them.
Examples: session identifier, consent record (localStorage key: cookieConsent)
Analytics Cookies
Optional
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website — which pages are visited most often, how long people spend on them, and where they come from. This allows us to improve our content and the structure of the site over time.
Examples: Google Analytics page view tracking, session duration
Marketing Cookies
Optional
Marketing cookies are used to deliver content and advertisements relevant to your interests. They also help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. If you decline these, you may still see advertisements, but they will be less tailored to your interests.
Examples: Google Ads conversion tracking, remarketing tags
Preference Cookies
Optional
Preference cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience, such as language settings, region, or display preferences. Without them, certain personalisation features may not function as expected.
Examples: language selection, UI display preferences
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that we use to support our website. These third parties operate under their own privacy policies and cookie practices, which are independent of ours.
Third-party services that may set cookies include:
- Google Analytics — for anonymised website usage data
- Google Maps — embedded on our main page to display our workshop location
- Google Ads — where applicable, for campaign performance measurement
We encourage you to review the privacy documentation of these services if you wish to understand their cookie practices in detail.
Cookie Duration
Cookies fall into two broad duration categories:
-
Session Cookies
Exist only for the duration of your browser session and are deleted when you close your browser. Typically used for navigation state and temporary preferences.
-
Persistent Cookies
Remain on your device until a set expiry date or until you delete them. Our consent record cookie persists for up to 12 months. Analytics cookies typically expire within 12–24 months.
